Wow! Winter Solstice (our shortest day of the year) and a Lunar Eclipse this 21st day of December - pretty exciting here in winter wonderland.
We're off to a great start this season - dogs are in shape and have already done a couple of overnight trips...not our usual December season, but has kept us entertained. We've had some incredibly interesting and fun guests this year so far - some world travellers who mark Fairbanks, AK as one of the greatest places to visit! Thanks to Eduardo and Juan Diego from Uruguay for entertaining us as well as the opposite. Despite some cold temps. -20F to -40F these two managed to keep from freezing and have an excellent time. They took lots of video and pics to prove it. I know our trails will cross again...
We have gift certificates available for that last minute Christmas gift - good anytime this season. What a great way to share our beautiful winter wonderland, and a uniquely Alaskan adventure - not to mention our state sport! We hope everyone has a safe and joyous holiday and we hope to see you out on the trail!

Snow, Snow, Snow! and Boundless Energy...
We're finally getting the snow we've been craving...all is white and trails are looking great! After unseasonable warm temps. and an ICE STORM! we're finally getting back to a "normal" November...
We've been giving rides for a few weeks now, with a couple of days off due to rain and huge puddles in our trail that made riding in a sled more like a water boggan ride. We're now in full swing with Mushing Schools, Overnight Trips and are looking forward to sharing the dogs and winter wonderland with you.
Our Maclaren Tour is full for this year, but we have openings for overnights and our Historic Tolovana Roadhouse Tour. Can't wait to visit the Roadhouse again - we went out in September by riverboat and spent and awesome 10 days cleaning and enjoying the solitude of the quiet wilderness. This lodge is new to us and has a rich history that we are learning more about everyday. See the Tolovana update on our homepage.
The pups of last year have turned into a fine looking group of athletes. They add a nice spice to the team and have lots of energy! What a great looking group of yearlings - Shayla, D-1, Wacker, Genie, Nyack and Gannon.
